Pastor Milton M. Bowden was born and raised in San Diego, California, to Evangelist Gladys P. Bowden and is the youngest of three sons. He was nurtured in the Apostolic faith at True Light Apostolic Church under the guidance of his great-grandparents, the late District Elder Milton Thomas and Mother Gladys Thomas. After the passing of his great-grandfather, Pastor Milton Bowden continued to grow spiritually under the leadership of Pastor Asa McClendon for over a decade.
From a young age, Pastor Bowden exhibited an extraordinary passion for ministry and worship. He began playing the drums at the age of two, assisted in praise and worship alongside his mother by age four, and became the church's primary organist at six. At just eight years old, he preached his first message during Youth Night entitled "Back to the Basics," showcasing a calling that would continue to unfold throughout his life.
In 2005, he was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ, and in August 2013, he was gloriously filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost. In April 2007, he founded the gospel singing group Customized, consisting of three brothers and three sisters. Through dedication and ministry excellence, the group became one of the leading musical ministries within the Southern California Diocese of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith (C.O.O.L.J.C.).
In 2009, Pastor Bowden and his family joined Shabach Temple Christian Center under the leadership of Apostle Stephen E. Rosas. There, he embraced his call to Christian leadership and served faithfully within the Music and Youth Departments. At the age of fifteen, he received his Local Minister's License and later his Elder's License through W.A.R. under the leadership of Apostle James Nelson.
That same passion for revival led him to host the first One Night of Praise Revival in October 2013 through Customized Ministry. At fifteen, he stepped out in faith and accepted an assignment at New Beginnings Cathedral C.O.G.I.C., where he received the right hand of fellowship under the leadership of Bishop Johnny McCaleb and Evangelist Melanie McCaleb. Under their guidance, he continued to mature as a preacher, worship leader, and servant of God.
Pastor Bowden and Customized Ministry have been recognized as recipients of the San Diego Prestige Awards and are widely known for impactful gatherings such as the Manifestation Conference, Sunday Night Revivals, and Manifestation Sundays. One of Pastor Bowden's most cherished declarations is: "I made a vow to the Lord that if He filled me with the gift of the Holy Ghost, I would serve Him until the day I die." This commitment continues to shape every aspect of his ministry and life.
In 2019, following the passing of his beloved pastor, Bishop Johnny McCaleb, Pastor Bowden remained faithful to his assignment until the Lord released him into the next season of ministry. On April 21, 2020, he married the love of his life, Lady Destinee Renee Bowden, and together they have faithfully labored in ministry while building a strong, Christ-centered family.
In 2020, the Lord gave Pastor Bowden a divine vision through a dream to build Him a temple. Though he wrestled with the assignment for several years, he ultimately surrendered fully to God's will and answered with a resounding "Yes." In September of that year, he began hosting Bible studies in his home. What started with five people quickly grew as God added to the ministry.
In October 2020, Pastor Milton Bowden officially founded Temple of Grace Church, Inc. in San Diego, California. Since its inception, the ministry has continued to flourish as a place of worship, healing, restoration, and spiritual transformation. Through powerful preaching, authentic worship, and a commitment to Apostolic doctrine, Pastor Bowden remains devoted to advancing the Kingdom of God and equipping believers to walk in the fullness of their calling.
Today, Pastor Milton M. Bowden continues to serve with humility, passion, and unwavering faith, committed to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, building God's people, and fulfilling the divine assignment placed upon his life.
Lady Destinee Bowden is the embodiment of perseverance, faith, and purpose. A proud Atlanta native, she is the devoted wife of Pastor Milton Bowden and the loving mother of two beautiful daughters. Through faith, discipline, and grace, Lady Bowden has mastered the art of balancing family, ministry, career, and entrepreneurship.
She faithfully serves as First Lady and Women's Supervisor of Temple of Grace Church, where she is committed to executing the vision of the ministry with excellence. Her passion is to empower, encourage, and strengthen God's people while serving with humility, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to the Kingdom.
In addition, Lady Bowden serves the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. (COOLJC) as the youngest California Diocese Women's Council President, faithfully laboring under the leadership of California Prelate, Bishop Anthony Landing Sr. Through her leadership, the Women's Council hosts conferences, community initiatives, fellowship gatherings, and empowerment events designed to uplift and inspire women of all ages throughout the California Diocese.
Beyond ministry, Lady Bowden is a full-time apartment leasing professional, social media personality, influencer, podcast host, and brand ambassador. Her influence extends across multiple platforms where she encourages women to pursue their God-given purpose with confidence and authenticity.
Lady Bowden’s life mission is to lead women into a deeper understanding of who they are in Christ and the purpose God has ordained for their lives. She is passionate about encouraging women to seek God wholeheartedly, trust His divine timing, and walk boldly in the calling He has placed upon them. Through prayer, mentorship, and the power of God’s Word, she empowers women to give birth to their God-given purpose, embrace His grace, and overcome every obstacle through faith. With a heart devoted to serving the Kingdom, Lady Destinee Bowden continues to inspire women to surrender to God’s will, pursue His presence, and fulfill their divine destiny for His glory.
Bishop Anthony Landing Sr. serves as Senior Pastor of the One Way Apostolic Church, located at 2314 Harrison Avenue, San Diego, California 92113. In the year of our Lord 2024, One Way Apostolic Church and Temple of Grace Church, under the guidance of Pastor Milton Bowden, came into agreement to merge their ministries and operate as two churches united in one location. Thus, history was made! This monumental partnership stands as a testament to what God can do when His people come together in unity. Two churches, many gifts, diverse talents, and God-given anointings joined together without competition, personal agendas, or division, but with one purpose: to build the Kingdom of God. Through this unprecedented union, lives are being impacted, souls are being reached, and the body of Christ is being strengthened.
